In a previous blog, I spoke of the need to have a complete breakfast before you head out for a round of golf. And I realize that many of you might have a very early tee-off time and not have much time to prepare a complete breakfast.
What about after you play?
This is the time when the cells are hot for protein and you need to get something in the bloodstream within an hour of exercise. No time to cook? I’ve got just the thing. My favorite protein shake I call the Chocolate Chunky Monkey.
This shake will take you just a few minutes to make as long as you have all the ingredients on board. It tastes delicious and is highly nutritious. Here’s what you’ll need.
- 1 cup of ice
- 3/4 cup of organic sugar-free almond milk
- 1 banana
- 2 scoops of Tera’s Chocolate Grass Fed Whey Protein Powder
- 1 generous tablespoon of organic, natural peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon of cacao powder
- 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
Place all the ingredients in the blender, let it spin for about 45 seconds and voila, you have a healthy, nutritious meal filled with healthy fats and protein you can drink straight away or take on the road with you. Enjoy and play great golf.
