Do This 3 Times Per Week For Longer Drives! – Golf Fitness, NYC

/

What would it mean to you to be able to get an extra 10, 20, or even 30 yards on your drives? As long as you can put the ball in play it would likely mean fewer strokes to the hole.

Longer Drives = Lower Scores

What if there was a piece of equipment you could use on your own and a protocol to go along with it that only took 10 – 15 minutes a day, three times a week that would put power behind every club in your bag? Well, there is! It’s called SuperSpeed Golf.

SuperSpeed Golf Clubs are progressively weighted clubs, that when used according to the prescribed training protocol, can and will add clubhead speed to your golf swing and therefore, distance to every club in your bag.

Club Head Speed

Club head speed is one of the factors that separates the elite golfer from the average golfer.

Since 2007, the PGA TOUR has been tracking the golf swing speeds of all of its players, also using Trackman. The TOUR average runs about 113mph and they hit about 290 yards/drive, which means their driving efficiency is about 2.57 yards/drive.

For the average male golfer, Trackman statistics report the average club head speed at this 14-15-handicap level is about 93.4 mph…yielding an average total distance of 214 yards per drive. That makes the average male amateur driving efficiency to be 2.29 yards per mph of club head speed.

  • Average Distance 240 250 270 290

  • 10% More Speed (Yards) 254 272 296 320

Deceleration Training

One of the quickest ways to improve swing speed is simply to start swinging the club in the opposite direction. No, it won’t feel very comfortable at first, but with diligent and deliberate practice, it will improve your body’s balance and ability to swing faster toward your dominant side. The faster you can slow down a movement in one direction, the faster you can accelerate to your top speed in the other. So your ability to accelerate is dependent upon your ability to decelerate (slow down and control force production) in the opposite direction. This is often ignored by the average amateur in training if they are training at all.
